LOGIN HELP

If you have been notified that an account has been created for you but cannot log in, ensure that you are using the exact Name and Password provided you and that you are logging in under the correct User Group. Remember that passwords are case sensitive.

To access the Starmail login section your browser must be configured to enable javascript. Chances are your browser is already configured properly. If, however, you are having trouble, you should first check your browser settings before notifying us. Find the browser you are using below and follow the instructions to ensure that javascript is enabled.

If you are still having problems logging in after ensuring that javascript is enabled and you are using the correct name and password, contact the Starmail office at 519-451-1500.




About User Access

Access to private areas of the Starmail web site is available to Starmail staff and clients, and is by invitation only. Access is not available to the general public.

Becoming a user with access privileges is a three-step process:
  1. You will be sent an email with a permanent user name and a temporary password.
  2. Log in using the name and password provided. Change the temporary password to something more secure. Provide the additional information requested and save your changes. You will still not be able to access the private areas at this stage.
  3. The administrator will review your submission and grant access when all information is complete. An email will be sent notifying that your status is now fully active.

Please keep your user name and password private. Change your password occassionally. Keep us notified of address, telephone, and email changes by editing your User Profile.




Forgot Password

If you have forgotten your User Name or Password go to the appropriate login screen for your User Group. Click on the words 'Forgot Password' near the bottom of the screen.

Type in the email address registered with us and a temporary password will be sent to you.

After receiving the temporary password, log in and change it to something more secure.




Browser Settings

Internet Explorer

Please upgrade to IE 8 if you are still using a version of Internet Explorer older than vers.7.

1. Go to the Tools menu and choose Internet Options
2. Click the Security tab
3. Click Custom Level in Security Level for this Zone
4. Scroll down to Scripting, near the bottom of the list
5. Under Active Scripting, choose Enable
6. Click OK to leave Security Settings. Click OK to leave Internet Options

Firefox for PC

1. From the Tools menu, go to Options.
2. Select the Content icon.
3. Select Enable JavaScript.
4. Select OK.

Firefox for Mac

1. From the Firefox menu, go to Preferences.
2. Select the Content icon.
3. Select Enable JavaScript.
4. Select OK.

Opera for PC

1. Go to the Tools menu and select Quick Preferences
2. Make sure Enable Javascript is checked

Opera for Mac

1. Go to the Opera menu and select Quick Preferences
2. Make sure ‘Enable Javascript’ is checked

Safari

1. Go to the Safari menu and select Preferences.
2. Across the top are some icons, click Security
3. Make sure the checkbox for enable javascript is selected
4. Click the little red circle to close the window and save preferences.
